Calling all Building Bricks lovers! Have you always wanted to build a Brick City with Lego®? Come join us as we all work on building an entire city together. Bring your bricks and baseplates and even your lunch or snack. On day one we will dive right in and start building our cities while sharing ideas, give each other suggestions and update each other on progress! This class will meet Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays for one hour per day. We will build for the entire class time and I will also encourage students to feel free to keep building after class if they would like. We will look forward to seeing each others progress each day. I am looking forward to having some students to build with as I work on my own city! During this class you can expect the following: 1. This will be a no mute class where we take turns sharing our ideas together about how to lay out and build our cities. 2. I will encourage students by giving suggestions, encouraging creative thinking and giving opportunities for sharing. 3. We will all have plenty of time to build and share our progress in a casual environment together. 4. This is not a "how to build" class. We will all brainstorm and share our tips and building ideas. 5. This is a great spot to have lunch and build with us! 6. If you have never built an entire city you can feel free to join with us and get some ideas and find a starting point to give it a try! What do students need for this class? 1. Students will need to have baseplates (green/blue or any color building boards) for this class. 2. Students will need to bring their Building bricks collection to be used for free building their city! 3. I suggest students set up their building station and camera to allow for sharing. Often working on the floor or table helps students to be able to share their work as we go. In this class we will update each other everyday on our progress. I will be building along with the students and sharing my work as well. Students should come ready to build with us and feel free to chat as little or as much as they would like!
Learning Goals
It is my goal to help the students work on their layout and scale skills while building an entire Bricks Building city. Students will be given ample opportunity to share and discuss their daily builds together in class!

Hello! My name is Teacher Carol. I hold a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, with a minor concentration in Public Speaking.
I currently teach STEM building on the Outschool platform. I am TESOL and TEFL certified. I have taught online for the last 8 years. I teach children ages 3-16 in the online classroom everyday. Additionally I have home schooled my children overseas.
I lived in China for 10 years. During my time living abroad, I taught ESL in China to students ranging from Pre-K through Middle school as well as adult learners. I currently teach ESL online. I am also a mother of three adult children and I have 3 grandchildren! My favorite title is Grandma!
I enjoy teaching classes that are geared to several ages. I teach in the online classroom everyday. I enjoy younger students and their curiosity. I love to have a good time with my younger students! I enjoy talking with older students and getting to know their unique personalities. I am a chatterbox and enjoy meeting new people. My classroom is a relaxed and easy going environment. I want children to feel comfortable and have fun. When children have fun they will learn. I desire to bring my experiences living abroad into my classroom. I want to share my love for different countries and cultures. In my spare time I am an avid snorkeler, swimmer and beach bum!
My goals in the classroom are simple: Lets learn and have fun together! I welcome, and celebrate, all different learning styles and personalities. I have an interactive classroom. I enjoy using digital effects in my classroom to engage our students and help them get excited about learning. Whether we are reading a book together, sharing our toys or having a great conversation together we always have something to learn.
See you in the classroom,
Teacher Carol
