Intro-Japanese Language for Kids (Preschool-Kindergarten 1A)

Dear Families,   


Konnichiwa,  I am Amy sensei. I hope you will join me as we make friends and learn Japanese in this warm, playful, and supportive class created for 3-5 year olds. I share a hands-on Montessori Approach to language learning with the goal of creating positive feelings for the children as they begin to learn this beautiful language.   

Are you wondering how your learner will do with online learning? 

My class payment set up allows families new to my classes to enroll and pay on a weekly basis and if canceled by Sunday, you will not be charged for the following week allowing you to try my classes without paying for all sessions upfront.  
 
I create a predictable routine to support comfort, confidence and comprehension. 
My goal is for young learners to have fun and become used to the online setting in my small group classes.

There will be weekly printouts for hands on activities.  I have designed materials to support learning at home. 

 Please print out each week so your learner can fully participate. Please have a pencil and crayons or colored pencils available for each class. 

The standard 8 pack of crayola crayons will have all the colors your learner will need.  The colors we may use: red, blue, yellow, green, pink, purple, black, and brown.

As a Montessori teacher with twenty plus years of lead classroom experience teaching children, ten years of experience living and teaching in Japan, and more than four years of online teaching experience,  I am thrilled to offer this class as a part of your child’s routine. I use props, pictures, a felt board, puppets, gestures and movement to bring life and understanding to the language.  

I am observant, personable, and playful and love to have a connection with the children and follow the needs of the group.   I will speak in English at times as a tool to support understanding when needed.
