Class Experience
Join me in this class as we learn how to bake white chocolate chip cookies. Before we start baking our cookies we will go through the recipe together and discuss how each step can be accomplished as well as why it is important to follow each step before continuing to the next step of a recipe. After going through the recipe together as a class, and making sure we have all of the necessary ingredients, we will begin making our own cookies. We will first start off by making the dough (a mixer...
Learn how to bake cookies and become better acquainted with the kitchen.
Please have the following supplies ready prior to class as they will be needed to make cookies. I will also provide the recipe the day before class as well. - 1 cup butter, softened (please have the butter softened to room temperature before class) - Sugar - Eggs - Vanilla extract - Flour - Cocoa - Baking soda - Salt - White chocolate chips - Mixer, hand or stand - Cookie scoop (if one is available or hands can be used to form cookies as well) - Cookie baking sheet - Cookie cooling rack (optional) - Mixing bowls, measuring cups, spatulas
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
While baking cookies an oven and mixer (hand or stand) will be required. If you have any concerns about your child operating either oven or mixer alone, please be nearby to assist them.
