Your homework is to enjoy your brownies and make more to share with friends!Assessment
Throughout the class, I will check to make sure everyone understands the steps and has a chance to ask questions if needed.Class Experience
After introductions and quick check-in about kitchen safety, I will guide bakers to measure and mix up the batter. Then we will put them in the oven, and whip up some fresh whipped cream while we wait! I will have bakers read and understand the recipe card as we bake by sharing the measurements and next steps. As time allows we will also clean up, and talk about chocolate fun facts! ***Important note: It is obviously critical that bakers have the necessary ingredients and equipment ready and available. Please feel free to message me anytime about anything!
Learning Goals
My goal is for learners to make amazing brownies to enjoy with their family!
Other Details
Parental Guidance
Safety is most important! Although we will review kitchen safety best practices, bakers will be using various tools and appliances including the oven, of course, so parents or a trusted adult/older sibling should be nearby to provide assistance and supervision in person.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Music or Theatre or Arts from UCLA
I love cooking and baking and making real food with simple ingredients for myself and my family. As a gymnast growing up, and then a dancer and runner in college, I was inspired to make healthy choices and learn to cook with fresh, whole ingredients. I studied all I could from culinary/fitness magazines and books for many years and even worked for a couple of food publications during my publishing days (Bon Appetit, for one!)…but I LOVE CHOCOLATE, simple as that! Whenever I make these everyone goes crazy! I enjoy sharing my food with friends and family, and am excited to share this in an Outschool class for young bakers to try!
