Students will learn by watching me and my kids make a loaf of bread from scratch. We will start with laying out all ingredients then move on to activating the yeast to mixing, kneading, leavening and finally baking the bread. Students will interact through video and messaging via the classroom platform. Topics that are covered are basic math skills, science (describing how yeast works), kitchen safety and culinary skills. Students are encouraged to follow along with me as I bake a couple loafs of bread.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their math skills especially fractions, learn tips in baking and how to identify different kitchen utensils used in baking.
