Let's Act Your Favorite Movie and TV Scenes! (5 Day Summer Camp)
Students will work on the acting skills necessary to take a screenplay and bring it to life. We'll work on movie and TV scenes you choose: Stranger Things, Star Wars, Marvel, the Mandalorian, Pixar, Disney....maybe the Last Airbender?

Description
Class Experience
Students will learn the format of written screenplays. Students will learn how to take the written word on the page and bring it to life for the camera. Students will learn the basic parts of an actor's job and process in analyzing a script. Students will learn to work with others and offer and receive constructive criticism.
Outside of class, students should find time to rehearse their lines. While they do not need to memorize, being familiar with the words will lead to much stronger results. Students will also need time to choose scenes they would like to perform and find those scenes online.
4 hours 10 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Scenes selected will be appropriate for this age group. PG.
