In this class, students will learn the short vowel -e word families. The class will be structured that the student will be able to identify, write, organize, read, and comprehend the various short vowel -e words. The class will begin with the introduction of the short vowel -e sound, followed by a picture card activity to promote class discussion. Each student will create a Word Family Book, recognize picture cards associated with the short vowel -e word family, and recognize letter sounds....
Students will learn the short vowel -e word families. Students will be able to recognize words that rhyme with the short vowel -e words. Students will be able to create words that are in the same short vowel -e word family. Students will be able to differentiate between words that are in different word families. Students will create a word family book for studying.
There is no homework. Daily reading is encouraged.
