Class Experience

This class will begin with a meet/greet (5-10 minute introduction to help them feel comfortable via song or questions.). We will discuss the concept of impromptu storytelling and how it’s so much fun to get the creative juices flowing. Then, a random topic will be pulled for each student to take turns storytelling about it. A timer will be displayed for students to to come up with story within a specific timeframe. Students will be encouraged to utilize that time to its fullest extent to add details and let their imagination run wild. The more details the better. Students are more than welcome to bring a snack as they experience the fun times of listening to their classmates.
At the conclusion, students will be asked to illustrate portion of their chosen story and bring it to life visually.

Hello, I’m Teacher Aneesa, and I’m thrilled to be part of the Outschool community to share my love for learning! I hold a Master’s of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Early Childhood Education from Walden University, along with an ESL certification (TESOL). I feel truly blessed to be in my 15th year of my passion, educating young minds.

I believe that instilling, building, and maintaining foundational skills in the early years is essential for a child’s long-term academic success. When my students develop a strong understanding of core concepts, they gain the confidence to approach new challenges with curiosity and resilience. My goal is to ensure that every child feels secure in their background knowledge so that they can transition into more advanced subjects with ease.

By providing a structured yet engaging learning environment, I help my students build deep connections, think critically, and apply their knowledge in meaningful ways. When children feel capable and prepared, they experience less frustration and more success, making learning an exciting journey rather than an overwhelming task.

I am committed to fostering a love for learning by creating joyful, interactive experiences that strengthen foundational skills. I want my students to leave my classroom with not only the knowledge they need but also the confidence and enthusiasm to embrace future learning opportunities.

On a personal note, I’m a family-oriented person and I love to sing! I’m married with three athletic daughters who keep me on my toes with their busy schedules. Our life is full of fun chaos, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. If you hear me singing in class, feel free to join in—let’s sing and learn together!

I can’t wait to meet you!

Kindest regards,

Teacher Aneesa
