1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
“Teacher, is Santa Claus real?” I would never deny nor affirm the existence of Santa Claus, however, when asked, I respond to students the same way adults in my family answered this question for me as a child: “I believe in the spirit of Christmas and Santa is part of that belief.” This is also how I will respond to the question if students ask me, as it is my goal to keep the spirit of Christmas (and Santa) alive and well in the hearts of young and old alike. _____ Safety and privacy is the top priority. Students may "pass" at any time and simply observe until they'd like to join in the activity. For example, they may choose to "pass" on the silly DARE or common question asked as a TRUTH. Students will leave the computer during the Scavenger Hunt to find an item related to a clue - such as finding an item that is the color red find an item that reminds you of what you're thankful for. Please advise your learner what precautions and expectations you may have for them or if they have permission to move about their environment in the event camp has a scavenger hunt.
