In this one time course, students will learn how to make a giant 3D snowflake. Students will follow the directions to learn step by step the process for these fun winter decorations. Learners will have the opportunity to ask questions. We will also be able to chat with other learners while we work. The finished snowflake, using standard 8.5X11 inch paper, is approximately 22-24 inches in diameter. Please note that due to the nature of this class, student questions, and conversation, the class time may be extended or reduced by a few minutes.

I am a licensed K-8 teacher with 17+ years of experience teaching ages 2-16 in a variety of capacities. My classroom experience has mainly been in Kindergarten and Preschool but I have also taught two-year-old preschool, first grade, second grade, and fourth grade. My most important role is as a homeschool mom to three wonderfully curious children. We are a neurodiverse family and I believe in creating opportunities for all children to learn and grow. My teaching experiences include a variety of settings: Montessori, public schools, private schools, and international schools both in-person and virtual. I have been teaching English as a Second Language online for the last 5 years. I have taught in the US states of Colorado, Wisconsin, and New Mexico as well as the countries of Kuwait and Fiji. I love teaching young children using hands-on and multisensory approaches, including games and songs where I can. Learning should be fun and I always do my best to help children enjoy their journey.
I hold a Master of Education degree from Regis University in Colorado. My Bachelor of Music degree comes from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with an emphasis in Flute Performance. While in Kuwait I studied through the Educational Collaborative for International Schools and Cambridge University to obtain my International Teacher Certificate. I believe education is a lifelong journey and am always working to further my knowledge and skills through self-study, workshops, and courses.
I am passionate about traveling and learning about different cultures. I live with my husband and three children in the USA. Together we enjoy hiking, traveling, swimming, playing games, and learning together.
