Class Experience: In this course, students will practice spelling and reading sight words on their Frozen themed bingo board. We will be using the "Dolch" first and second sight word lists. There are a total of 87 sight words for first and second grade. At the beginning of class, each student will be given the opportunity to share their favorite Frozen toy. Students can easily "pass" if they do not want to share anything. What to expect: • Upon enrollment, students will be emailed 2 bingo cards (please print these out before class). • The teacher will use a Frozen themed Google Slide presentation to display each word. • Students will be asked periodically to say and/or spell the word. • If the student has the called word, they can mark it with small candies, cereal, or any other small object in your home. • When a student wins, we will review all of the “winning” words on that student’s card. • It is my goal to play at least 2 rounds within a class period. Background Knowledge: *Students should have a working knowledge of how to play BINGO. I will do a quick review at the beginning of class, but it is important that students know how to play. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to sit with their child to help them if the student does not quite feel comfortable with how to play the game. As a teacher, it is my goal to make each student feel valued and equally as important as their peers. I also strive to make each and every class interactive and fun. I hope you enjoy class!
Learning Goals
Students will use their Frozen themed bingo cards to practice proper pronunciation of first and second grade sight words. Students will also practice the spelling of each sight word and hear it used in a sentence.

In 2017, I left the brick-and-mortar setting and began teaching ESL online. Shortly afterward, I found Outschool, and what an amazing journey this has been!
I believe children learn when they are engaged and having fun. For that reason, one of my classroom rules is to have fun! I strive to give my students a supportive, engaging, and laid-back environment where they are free to be creative and do their best work. I promise that you won't find a more encouraging and supportive teacher.
