This interactive class will allow students to be introduced to some exciting and lesser known species such as the Shoebill Stork, Peacock Mantis Shrimp, Narwhal, Capybara and Glass Frog just to name a few! We will discuss where these species live, what they eat and what group they belong to: reptile, amphibian, bird, mammal or insect. This class will use a combination of slides, flash cards and videos and it will be an interactive lesson with games such as Heads Up. Students will have a chance to discuss their favourite animal at the end of the session.

My name is Maya and I graduated from the University of Oxford with a geography degree in 2013. Since then I have worked in the humanitarian sector for the British Red Cross and worked as a private tutor around the world. I am grateful that I can share my academic interests on Outschool and meet curious learners from around the world. I offer a variety of classes on geography, history, literature, art history, philosophy, classical civilisation and yoga.
