1 hour per week. Students will complete weekly challenges during class, but they will also choose a project to complete during the 10 week course. They will work on the final project outside of class time.Class Experience
In this class, the students will build from pre-determined themes. At the beginning of the course, each class will brainstorm together to choose their favorite building ideas. Each class will consist of the same students each week. The students will be able to work together as a group to build their ideas. Students will be encouraged to discuss their projects and learn from each other. Students will spend approximately 20-30 minutes of each class building their Lego creation. The last 15 minutes will be spent sharing as a group. Each person will have an opportunity to show what they built and discuss it with the group. Students are encouraged to ask questions about design and build techniques. During feedback time, all students are required to show respect and speak kindly to each other. Every student has access to different Lego's so no two designs will ever look the same. There is no right or wrong way to build with Lego's! Creativity is encouraged in this class! Have fun building with students from all over the world!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! Welcome to my classroom! I look forward to meeting you! I am a homeschooling mom of three. We are entering our 10th year of homeschooling. I love the freedom homeschooling gives us to develop our children's interests and work at their own pace.
I have a degree in Education with a minor in Psychology. Prior to homeschooling, I had a faculty position with the College of Family and Consumer Sciences Extension at the University of Georgia. I taught adults and children classes on child development, financial education, health, and food safety. I also have a TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) certification. I began teaching English online to children in China and Hong Kong in 2017 and still love to see my students online every morning. I love teaching online! It is so fun to build connections with students from all over the world. I love learning from them and discovering new things together.
