In this class, you’ll learn how to make two kinds of mazes using Legos and play dough and then you’ll choose one maze to draw on paper as well.
Class experience
In this class, you’ll learn how to make two kinds of mazes using Legos and play dough. You’ll learn a bit about the history of mazes and then learn some maze techniques when making each maze. You'll also get a chance to draw a maze on paper and add extra details to make it unique. My teaching style is inclusive and supportive. I want children to feel inspired. Children will get to ask questions, make suggestions, and share what they are working on. I use two screens to teach this class...
Materials Needed: A Lego baseplate (at least 6 x 6 inches) A collection of Lego bricks that are 1 or 2 bumps wide and any length. Longer bricks will help you build the maze faster. A ball of play dough about the size of your fist. A tray / cookie sheet / bead tray / casserole dish or container that can be used to make your play dough maze. Must have a lip around the edges to keep ball in the maze. A marble, a round bead, or a very tiny ball the size of a marble One piece of Paper pencil with an eraser markers or crayons
