Description
Class Experience
This is a not a structured, formal lesson. Rather, it is a chance for students to be creative, indulge in building, and talk about what they're doing. The goal is to provide them with a chance to be creative, learn new ways to use their existing LEGO® bricks, and talk about what they're doing - perfect for experienced builders, shy learners, younger builders, and everyone in between!
None
1) LEGO® bricks - anyone with a few existing sets should be fine, or you can buy a box of loose bricks. Simply Google "Lego 10698" and you can buy from places like Amazon or Target. 2) A LEGO® base plate will come in handy for some of our challenges; you can buy these online for $5-10. Simply Google "LEGO® Base plate." 3) Space to build - I recommend setting the device/computer up near the builder on a low table or the floor. (Or bring the LEGO® bricks to the table you want your child to sit at.) Having everything together cuts down on running back and forth to get more pieces.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
