Class Experience
Does your child love to build with Lego Duplo blocks? Duplos are the perfect blocks for early builders and this course is designed specifically with little learners in mind! This is an ongoing course that will meet weekly to build and share centered around a theme. Please see the schedule below for themes and if you have a particular theme or build your child is interested in, please let me know! Each week, we'll explore a theme based around a short and fun picture book. We'll have fun...
As an experienced elementary teacher and librarian, I have worked with students from PK - 5th for over 15 years! I have a broad knowledge of various topics and concepts taught for this age group that will be engaging and appealing for building with Legos Duplos. During this course, I will draw from my experience in the classroom and library to create short mini lessons around a theme using lots of different resources. Selecting topics that are well received by students will help your child get excited about learning. Your child will be able to apply what we learned by building a Lego Duplo creation that he/she will be proud of. I love to present material in a fun and engaging way to get your child motivated and interested in our topics each week. Using Legos Duplos to demonstrate his/her learning, your child will have a blast building and sharing about his/her creation!
