LEGO Club Group Imagination Time (Summer Camp Edition)

This adult-supervised group playtime is designed to help your child express him/herself through LEGOs.  Each session, the group will meet and take turns showing off their latest "inventions" and telling us the story of what it does and how it works.  We will practice taking turns and listening actively/respectfully to our friends.  We will meet three times each week in order for the kids to get to know each other and begin forming long-distance friendships.  It is almost like the modern equivalent of a pen-pal...but over video conferencing and surrounded by LEGO adventures.  Each session we will select a new "theme" for the upcoming session...and the students can choose to make lego creations in that theme (or not).  The kids will be encouraged to create new designs rather than relying on kits.
(PRO TIP: Ebay is a great source for LEGOs sold in bulk by the pound for FAR less than in kit form.  Generally, 5 pounds is a pretty good supply...though there is no such thing as having too many Legos!)
