Class Experience

It is my goal for Builders to experience: confidence in speaking and explaining their builds to others, social growth and good character when speaking and responding, determination to try new techniques/challenges, and an opportunity to share their creativity with others. As a Lego® League Jr coach, I have had experience with encouraging children to listen and respect one another and their ideas, to problem solve, and to celebrate Lego-Awesomeness.
Students should bring a creation that they are working on or have completed to each session. They should be ready to tell us about their creation, any unique techniques they used...They are also encouraged to ask for advice from fellow Builders if they are stuck or need tips on a build they are working on.
Students should have a tub of loose Lego® bricks with them to use in class for building challenges and techniques. Students should bring a build they are working on or have finished to class to share.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
