LEGO Architects for Girls!

Each class we will discuss a different notable female architect and build based off of that architect's designs. Learners will be introduced to the notable architect, get a short LEGO Tutorial, build and present at the end of each class! Note this class covers 5 female architects over the course of 5 weeks to expose learners to different building styles, races and ages of the architects.

Class Experience

This course will be a fun adventure in building using LEGOS. Learners will learn facts, pictures, and see architectural works of a different notable female architects each class and build a model based on their work. Learners will be shown a tutorial on how to build according to the theme and will then create their own interpretation using their own creativity. We will build themes like houses, towers, abstract buildings, and bridges and each learner will have a chance to present their builds...

Students will learn motor skills using their creativity to build from various themes. Learners will also have a chance to practice public speaking and presenting in each class.

Lego bricks of any kind or other brand small building blocks

No assessment but learners will present their builds at the end of each class to help with public speaking and it gives them a chance to be show and proud of what they have created!
