This is an Unofficial class by Melissa Robb and based on the sourcebook from Druidawn® 1.0. This is for students that have already completed the Druidawn® beginner's class. If your child has not done that please register for one of those sessions before registering for this adventure. Druidawn® is an interactive role playing game that uses creative writing and problem solving to overcome obstacles in a group setting. At it's core Druidawn® encourages creative writing. For some this is a frequent flow of words that go beyond the homework in Druidawn® adventures. Students are invested in this world and write about their characters, animals and the magical Druidawn® world around them. This class gives Druidawn® students a place to share their Druidawn®-based work and discuss it. Each writer will be required to post their story at least a week ahead of time. The week gives the students time to read the stories so they will be ready to discuss in class. Minimum 1 page, maximum 6 pages. Everyone will need to read the stories in order to prepare for the class discussion. In class each writer will read a short portion (a few paragraphs) from their story which will be followed by student-led discussion. The class is limited to 4 students so each student can expect at least 10 minutes of discussion about their own work. There is no formal teaching involved in this class, it is an opportunity for Druidawn® writers to share their work and support one another. Legends of Druidawn® 1.0 and the AMAZING world of Druidawn 1.0 was created by Miriam Darnell and Cara Allen in 1990. www.druidawn.org

Parental Guidance
Be aware that Druidawn adventures do have various undead and enemies attacking the knights. As in all Druidawn® adventures there is always a peaceful option that the knights may choose but quite frequently they choose a chaotic resolution. Battling, blood, weapons, killing are usually part of a chaotic resolution.
Natural disasters may be part of this class as well.
Characters and pets may be in peril throughout the stories.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I first experienced Druidawn® as a participant alongside my son. We quickly became enamored with the adventures and with leveling up our beloved characters. Soon I was having fun teaching Druidawn® myself, leading classes through mythical and magical lands. I have been been using Legends of Druidawn® to encourage students to write for many years. Words are currency in Druidawn®. Kids don't HAVE to write, they will WANT to write!
