Description
Class Experience
The goal is to practice creative writing skills while prepping a new Druidawn character.
I first experienced Druidawn as a participant alongside my son. We quickly became enamored with the adventures and with leveling up our beloved characters. Soon I was having fun teaching Druidawn myself, leading classes through mythical and magical lands. I have been been using Legends of Druidawn to encourage students to write for many years. Words are currency in Druidawn. Kids don't HAVE to write, they will WANT to write!
Homework will involve character creation/storytelling after the class.
A 2 page character sheet will be provided after class. Have your Druidawn binder close-by so you can refer to your character sheets, stores, and other Druidawn documents
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I do not grade this class.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Be aware that Druidawn does have various undead attacking the knights. As in all Druidawn adventures there is always a peaceful option that the knights may choose but quite frequently they choose a chaotic resolution. Blood, weapons, killing are usually part of a chaotic resolution. Chat class could involve talk about violence in the game.
