Beginner - Advanced Level
𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐰𝐧® 𝟏.𝟎: 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 This is an Official Quest Licensed by Druidawn® Inc. written by the creators of Druidawn® Miriam Darnell and Cara Allen. Legends of Druidawn® 1.0 uses cooperative fantasy role playing (dragons, elves, quick-sand OH MY!) to stimulate the imaginations of the players and becomes an excellent source of ideas. Legends of Druidawn® motivates children to write creatively. Players will participate in a verbally interactive story-adventure that requires...
I first experienced Druidawn® as a participant alongside my son. We quickly became enamored with the adventures and with leveling up our beloved characters. Soon I was having fun teaching Druidawn® myself, leading classes through mythical and magical lands. I have been been using Legends of Druidawn® to encourage students to write for many years. Words are currency in Druidawn®. 𝐊𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞!
Homework Offered
This camp style beginner class squishes 8 weeks of Druidawn®/character "homework" into a single week, so there's a lot of work to accomplish. 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤: Day 1 the homework is necessary as the student needs to create a character. Each day afterwards there will be optional homework. If the student chooses not to do the homework, after day 1, the adventure will likely not be as enjoyable but it's still possible to get through without it. The homework will be explain verbally to the students and posted on Outschool to the parents so that everyone knows what work should be completed. Students can put in as little or as much time as they choose. Their characters will benefit from their efforts. I encourage the students to send me their homework electronically but that is not required. They can do all their homework written on paper and either send me a picture OR just don't send it in at all. Either way is good. 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 Ability to write at least basic sentences. There is some reading of homework aloud in class. The homework is tailored to YOUR child's abilities. Although most of the homework is optional, I promise your child will want to complete each week's assignment.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class

7 files available upon enrollmentThere will be handouts. PDF, JPG and Word. A few of the pages the students will need to refer to often. You can keep them all digitally if you are a traveling family or print them all out (about 20-30 pages over the course of the class). You will need 1 20-sided die and 2 6-sided dice during each class. I recommend that each student has a 3 ring binder to keep all their materials in, for easy reference, if printing.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Be aware that this adventure does have various undead attacking the knights. As in all Druidawn® adventures there is always a peaceful option that the knights may choose but quite frequently they choose a chaotic resolution. Blood, weapons, killing are usually part of a chaotic resolution.
I am a veteran homeschool mom in Rhode Island. I love traveling and being with my family. We have always homeschooled and always been very active in our local homeschool community. A lot of our travel involves Pokémon (the card game)...
