Calling all "Breath of the Wild" adventurers! Here's another fun, adventure-packed camp that is sure to take you further into the world of Hyrule! In this follow-up camp to my previous 'Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Fan Camp', we will continue to engage in a series of fun discussions about the epic world of Breath of the Wild, completing a NEW set of fun and engaging 'side quests' along the way. At the end of each session, I will set the students on a new side-quest that they'll need...
Students will engage in basic conversational skills, critical listening, and provide feedback to each other. Student will also explore the basics of public speaking as they present their weekly quests to their classmates.
I am offering this project-based learning opportunity because I believe that they're highly effective due to the way they incorporate multiple aspects of learning. It's always great for kids to take the skills they're learning and have the opportunity to apply them in a fun, exciting, real-world scenario. I have used several project-based learning activities in my own teaching and am always so pleased to see the students engaged with what they're learning!
Students will be asked to play the "Breath of the Wild" game in order to complete their side quests.
Handouts will be sent out each week for the side quests. Students will also need access to the Legend of Zelda "Breath of the Wild" game in order to complete assignments.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
