Class Experience

Students will be able to carry out mathematical operations and solve problems in each of the topics introduced each week (please refer to detailed description for list of topics)
I have tutored elementary math for several years and I have taught some of the topics in this course through separate smaller courses, obtaining great reviews and feedback from learner families.
I assign homework to reinforce what we learn in class, however, the homework is optional. Learners can complete their homework and bring it to class. I review the homework in class by providing feedback to the group and helping solve any unanswered items. Learners are offered an opportunity to show their work.
4 hours 10 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Occasionally will use Nearpod and Wordwall. Both are web based sites that do not require a subscription but it will be helpful for learners to know how to share their screen, and how to split their screen or toggle back and forth between Zoom and the other websites.
