Class Experience

•	By choosing books in which they are interested, readers will find reading more enjoyable and improve their reading skills.
•	By using the provided questions/activities to share the books they are reading, members of the club will learn to evaluate literature in uncommon ways.
•	Readers will, also, learn from other club members about different literature that might be interesting to them.
I am certified in English Language Arts and Speech & Drama, and I have been teaching for many years. I am also a published author of a series of children's picture books about a toy named Benjamin Boo. I love books and reading, and I love fostering a love for reading in my students.
I have put together several uncommon questions/activities that are attached to the class listing.
•	Each week, readers choose a book (age and school appropriate) to read and use for their report.
•	Each week, readers will report on books they have read or are reading by choosing 2 questions/activities from the list before class time and sharing the answers/activities with the other members.
•	The questions need to be answered or the activities completed before class and then presented during class time.
•	The amount of time readers spend each week preparing for the club meeting will depend on the reader, the book, and the length of the book report.
 1 file available upon enrollment
*Appropriate book of their choice *Book Report Questions/Activities that I have attached *Specific supplies needed to complete activities chosen from the list *Pen/pencil and paper to make note of books from the club meeting they may want to read
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
Readers need to choose age appropriate and school appropriate books for their club reading and reports.
