In this class, my puppet, Froggy Frog, and I will use everyday vocal communications about learners’ favorite stuffed animals to help them learn and identify the letters, numbers, and colors we use. As students talk about their stuffed animals and other interests, we will focus on beginning sounds of important words and relate those sounds to letters that students will identify. I am a certified teacher who has taught PK through adult, though I have focused on younger learners the past few years. I am especially fond of play-based learning and using puppets to keep learners engaged. I, also, think it's important to make learning a part of the usual verbal exchanges and conversation that we have.
