Class Experience

One of the easiest and best ways to learn is through a story. We learn to relate to characters and see different points of view in a light non judgmental way!
In this fun class, we'll discuss 16-19 different virtues and look at how we live each of those virtues.
virtues such as manners, sharing, listening, giving your all, or forgiving are a few we'll explore through story and discussion. Young children can have a different perception about the way things should be done and what is fair than when we are older and have had more life experience. We'll have fun as I help each individual personality look at the way "they" live these virtues in their life!
This is a very interactive class. I want students to look at their individual strengths in the virtues we discuss and recognize areas they can grow in!

virtues are: a person's principles or what each of us feel is important in life. Respecting those virtues in others lives are important lessons to learn also!

The list of virtues we will discuss once a week, starting in September are as follows:

However-if there is an extenuating circumstance please contact me so we can talk!
Sincerely, Miss Laurie

Learning Goals

Students will learn values and the importance of virtues in their lives.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
As Parents/caregivers, you can help support continued learning and growing in the virtues we discuss.
Supply List
If you'd like to take the class each week you might think about purchasing a special, blank notebook of paper and crayons, markers or colored pencils to draw a picture of the virtues we'll learn about each gathering time. Just plain paper would be appropriate also with a binder to keep them in as reminders of what we've learned. This book may be a cherished memory in years to come! I'll also send a Winnie the Pooh color page from time to time as I find a specific one fitting with our virtue of the week.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
