Class Experience
Reading multisyllabic words (words with more than one syllable) can be tough for beginner or intermediate readers. In this class they will learn how to break those words apart and apply that to reading. Each week we will focus on different words and breaking those words apart. I have 15 years teaching experience in both primary and upper elementary grades. I currently teach 4th grade ELA and work on multisyllabic words daily with students. I have attended numerous reading trainings throughout my 15 years of teaching.
No homework, unless students wish to practice reading their word list
Word list will be sent prior the week we are learning them. Paper or white board to write words (marker or pencil)
Informal Assessment
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
