In this on going class, we will look at a different digraph sound (ch, th, ck, wh, sh, kn, and more!) each class. We will do one each class and practice reading a variety of words with that digraph sound. This class is ESL friendly.

In this on going class, we will look at words that are more difficult and can't always be sounded out. Words with the sh, kn, ch, ck, wh, th, etc sounds are called digraphs. These sounds can be tricky since they aren't sounded out by each individual letter, like learners are used to doing up until this point. We will practice one digraph sound each class, to really gain a better understanding of the sound and how to use it with a variety of different words. Learners will print out the...
- Learners will learn a new diagraph sound each class.
Learners will print out the attached worksheet and bring scissors, glue, and play doh to help create words using these new diagraph sounds.
An adult will need to supervise the learner with the use of scissors.
