This class is for beginning readers. It is an ongoing class. Each lesson is separate from the others, so your child can join at any time. We will be learning to read long-vowel words that end with the letter “e”, such as “mane, like, hope, and huge”. Students will learn that when the letter “e” is added to the end of a word, the vowel sound changes. I have created many colorful slides, as well as some fun worksheets that we will do together as a class. There are four lessons in this class....
Students will learn that the vowel sound changes when "e" is added to the end of a short-vowel word. Students will learn to read long-vowel words ending with "magic e". Students will learn to choose the correct long-vowel word based on the picture. Students will learn to spell/write long-vowel words.
4 files available upon enrollmentIf possible, please print the attached worksheets. There is one for each lesson. Your learner will also need a pencil or crayon to be able to fill in the answers on the worksheets.
50 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
