In this fun and engaging two-week phonics class students will learn to read long vowel words by adding magic "e" to the end of short vowel words.
Class experience
US Grade Kindergarten - 1
In this class, we will be learning to read long-vowel words that end with the letter “e”, such as “mane, like, hope, and huge”. Students will learn that when the letter “e” is added to the end of a word, the vowel sound changes. I have created many colorful slides, as well as some fun worksheets that we will do together as a class. There are four lessons in this class. Each one will cover a different vowel sound. Lesson one: long “a” words Lesson two long “i” words Lesson three: long “o”...
Students will learn that the vowel sound changes when "e" is added to the end of a short-vowel word. Students will learn to read long-vowel words ending with "magic e". Students will learn to choose the correct long-vowel word based on the picture. Students will learn to spell/write long-vowel words.
