Learning to Read: CVC Words/Word Families, Silent E, and R-Controlled Vowels

Students will practice CVC words in their word families, (ex.: short a “at” words - bat, cat, sat), learn how to read the r-controlled vowels (ar, er, ir, or, ur - car, fur), and practice what to do when the bossy e is added (bit - bite).
