Learning to Read by Blending and Reading CVC Words (Beginners)

Learners are welcome to jump in at any time! In this ongoing course, students will build a foundation for successful reading. Students will engage in a fun and interactive lesson to blend and read CVC words from different word families. Our class time is jam-packed with activities and games designed to help your student succeed! We will read a short story based on our word family of the week and students will practice identifying words within the story. We will also practice blending beginning sounds with our word family of the week using picture clues. I will provide worksheets for each class in a PDF file, however, it is not necessary to print these if you are not able to. Students will still be able to follow along by practicing on their own sheet of paper. Students can even use their fingers to write letters in the air!
