US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
In this self paced class, students will gather together to develop and practice early reading skills. Students in this class should be able to recognize all of their letters and letter sounds independently, or with very minimal assistance, as we will be blending them together to create different words. During the first two activities of the week, students will practice their reading skills through interactive slides and a worksheets. There will be a classwork that goes along with the class that students can complete along with the recording. There will also be an additional worksheet that students can complete after class to reinforce the word family. For the third activity each week, students will play BINGO! There will be 4 BINGO cards posted along to each BINGO game so that parents and siblings can play along too... Bingo is always more fun with more players!! Please see the syllabus for a breakdown of the word families!
Learning Goals
Students will learn to blend letters and will be able to read words from several word families.
