Is your student ready to start reading and writing? Then it is time to learn the sound each letter makes! In this class, students will learn one new sound each day. Then students will practice reading and writing words with the new sound they've learned. Students can attend just one class and learn the sound of the day and words that have that sound. Or students can attend class ongoing and learn all of the sounds! These lessons are designed to include movement, phonemic awareness word games,...
This class is taught in English.
At the end of each class, students will be able to identify the letter sound taught that day.
I will share a worksheet for each lesson. Students should print it before class or they will miss the writing component. Students should have a pen or pencil. OPTIONAL: Parents can hide post-it notes with the sound of the day around the room for students to "hunt" and find!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
