I have been teaching music for over 27 years, privately, group classes, and in the public school. I currently teach general music for grades 3-5. This particular unit is always very successful in the classroom and is a favorite with my 3rd graders.
I only suggest that students practice their recorder for 10 minutes a day. (Sometimes that's all the family can handle of that!). I do stress that the recorder is a soft and mellow instrument in order to discourage over blowing and squeaking. You're welcome!
Students are encouraged to upload video of themselves playing so that we can celebrate their progress.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
