Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will improve their comprehension and analysis skills of Shakespeare's play- The Tragedy of Macbeth. 
Each week, learners will need to finish reading the Act to prepare for the next live lesson. Students will be given guiding reading notes to help aid comprehension. 
Prior to the last class, students will complete a fun, cumulative project. 
A copy of William Shakespeare's play, The Tragedy of Macbeth. This can be found for free online. Or, you may purchase a physical copy of the book if desired (approximately $10). All worksheets and curriculum materials will be provided at no additional cost. Most learners use colors (such as colored pencils) to complete their final project; however, it can be completed electronically if supplies are limited at home.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Each week, students will have guided reading notes to turn in and a mini quiz to complete. These questions will be based on comprehension. 
During the lessons, students will be encouraged to complete notes on more analytical questions. 
Toward the end of the 7 weeks, learners will complete a one-pager, cumulative project to show mastery of the play. 
Lastly, on the last live lessons, learners will participate in a Kahoot regarding the entirety of the play. 
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
The Tragedy of Macbeth includes violence. Pictures and videos of violence will not be shown but will be discussed as it pertains to the play. This class is best suited for high school students. 
We will be referencing the Tragedy of Macbeth by William Shakespeare (Public Domain) 
YouTube will be used to show a short clip to help with understanding. 
Kahoot will be used at the end of the class as an assessment.
