I am First-Aid and CPR certified. I have been camping with my family since I was a young girl and have continued the tradition as an adult with my own kids. I have been a water safety instructor and lifeguard for several years, where I've taught swimming lessons and water safety to young students. I have worked for summer camps as an instructor.
There will be no homework assigned, but hopefully, students will be so excited by what they learned they will want to show you.

During the class making homemade Bug Stray, we will be using essential oils, rubbing alcohol, witch hazel, and water. All of these supplies can be found at many box stores. The essential oils used in the lesson are Eucalyptus Essential Oil, Lemongrass Essential Oil, Peppermint Essential oil, Rose Geranium essential oil, and Almond oil. *Rose Geranium Oil* is not required but a suggestion. Travel packs use straws and a heat source to seal the straw at the end. The lesson on Water treatment is a science experiment. We will use water testing strips to see if we can come close to filtering out clean water to drink. We will use a clear plastic bottle, sand, gravel, charcoal, and cheesecloth as the filter. We will not be drinking the water, but testing it. The fishing ideas lesson will discuss, what is needed to legally go fishing where you camp, and what baits to use for certain fish.
