Learning Through Stories – Positive Thinking Story Time
Class experience
In this class we will learn the importance of thinking positively through the story Sticky Brains by Nicole Libin. In this book, frustrating things happen to the character; however she learns how to train her brain in order to be a more positive thinker. We learn that we have the power to change our thoughts if we choose. Students will have a chance to draw, color, and share a positive thought if they'd like to. They will also learn some affirmations and tips to encourage positive thinking....
Students will develop reading comprehension skills and learn practical tips for encouraging positive thinking.
I'm a mindfulness practitioner and work as a K-12 reading tutor.
I will provide drawing and coloring sheets to download and print. Students should have crayons, markers, and colored pencils.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
