In this one-time, fun-time class, students will prepare to start an introductory Spanish Level 1 course by learning the alphabet in Spanish. Students will be able to identify the letter by name and sound and will be able to read small CVC words in Spanish by blending sounds. I will teach this by presenting the Spanish Alphabet in which students will echo what I say. This course will include a lot of repetition to ensure that students grasp the content. This is a lecture that will include: slideshow, games, and a lot of student participation. No previous experience/knowledge required, just eagerness and positive attitude! :)
Learning Goals
Students will learn to blend CVC words in Spanish by practicing reciting the Spanish alphabet.

Hola! I am so grateful you came across my profile. My name is Ms. Ramirez and I teach beginning Spanish levels for students of ALL ages. I have taught at a public high school for 4 years and taught Spanish for native and non-native speakers. I also teach English for English learners.
My philosophy is making sure my students have fun but at the same time learn something new. Learning online does not limit fun and engaging activities and I have a load full of resources to do that. Apart from teaching, I enjoy exploring the outdoors and spending time with my husband and two boys. Being a mom has definitely changed my life and my perspectives.
