Description
Class Experience
In this one-time, fun-time class, students will prepare to start an introductory Spanish Level 1 course by learning the alphabet in Spanish. Students will be able to identify the letter by name and sound and will be able to read small CVC words in Spanish by blending sounds. I will teach this by presenting the Spanish Alphabet in which students will echo what I say. This course will include a lot of repetition to ensure that students grasp the content. This class is taught in English.
Students will learn to blend CVC words in Spanish by practicing reciting the Spanish alphabet.
No homework, just practice :)
A hand-out of the alphabet and sounds will be provided.
At the end of the course, an informal assessment will be given where I will see if the student is ready to move on to the next course or will need a little more practice.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
