The students will learn their multiplication facts by learning patterns in math and playing games. They will learn to find patterns in math that will help them remember the multiplication facts. I will teach several games so they can practice the facts with their family and friends. After class, they can continue to practice with family and friends. Soon they will no longer be using their fingers to figure them out! Let's have fun!
Everyone likes games. Math is a game. Learn the rules and you can play the game. I have used this approach in my classroom for years. Students love to tell me they can beat their older brothers, sisters, mom, and dad.
