In this one-time class students will learn each step of the cell cycle including check points.
Class experience
In this class we will go completely through the lifecycle of a cell. I will go through each stage in detail and what happens in each. We will go over all the check points the cell has and what is checked during each one. This class will include all the steps of interphase, mitosis/meiosis, and cytokinesis. We will NOT discuss in great detail the steps in mitosis/meiosis, since that is a very lengthy topic and a different class I offer. This is a lecture-type class, but I love interaction. I...
Students will be able to understand how a cell is formed, what it does after it is formed, and how that cell will mature and prepare for division.
