Class Experience
Sight word practice: reading and writing the sight words (I, can, see) Vocabulary: serrated, juvenile Facts about tiger sharks: dorsal fin, gills, all about teeth, they eat anything Literacy skills learned throughout the lesson: capital letters, punctuation, letter formation, spaces between words, left-to-right movement across print
I am a former first grade teacher and Literacy Coach with extensive training in Reading Recovery intervention methods, as well as years of one-on-one tutoring and small group instruction.
I would encourage the students to reread their books and continue to practice the new sight words learned. ;)
1 file available upon enrollment-print, cut, and staple book before class -pencil/markers
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
