Description

Class Experience

Sight word practice: reading and writing the sight words (I, can, see)
Vocabulary: serrated, juvenile
Facts about tiger sharks: dorsal fin, gills, all about teeth, they eat anything
Literacy skills learned throughout the lesson: capital letters, punctuation, letter formation, spaces between words, left-to-right movement across print
I am a former first grade teacher and Literacy Coach with extensive training in Reading Recovery intervention methods, as well as years of one-on-one tutoring and small group instruction.
I would encourage the students to reread their books and continue to practice the new sight words learned. ;)
