Does your budding little reader love sharks? In this one-time class your child will write a mini-book (with the copy provided and the teacher's help) about the tiger shark. We will first learn about and discuss tiger sharks through reading a few pages of the picture book "Sharks: And Other Dangers of the Deep" by Simon Mugford and viewing Google Slides. I am a former first grade teacher and Literacy Coach with extensive training in Reading Recovery intervention methods, as well as years of one-on-one tutoring and small group instruction.
I would encourage the students to reread their books and continue to practice the new sight words learned. ;)
