In this 8-week online course, students will learn to identify all 8 parts of speech used in the English language and will practice these skills through a variety of fun and challenging word games.
Class experience
US Grade 4 - 7
Each live meeting of this 8-week course will focus on one of the 8 parts of speech used in the English language. Every class will begin with a basic overview of the part of speech being covered and then move on to specifics. Interspersed throughout each lesson, students will engage in a variety of word games designed to support learning and give them additional practice using the part of speech being covered. Learners will be assessed for progress and understanding by their participation in class activities. Although a letter grade will not be given by the teacher, parents or students may request a certificate of completion for this course.Grades Offered
Students will be provided with a class outline detailing the topics covered and leaving room for writing down notes as they see fit. Students will need to have pencil and paper ready to go for each class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
