Learning Letters and Sounds With Cars, Trucks, and Other Transportation-Part 2

In this multisensory, hands-on class, children will work on letters by learning a transportation vehicle that starts with each letter. We will work on upper and lower case letter form, beginning letter sounds, and learn about vehicles!

Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
Do you have a child at home who loves playing with cars, trucks, and other vehicles? In this hands-on class, students will practice socializing, taking turns, fine-motor skills, learning the alphabet letters and sounds, and learning about 26 transportation vehicles (different from the part 1 class)! (I have a part 1 transportation class and this part 2 class. Students are welcome to take them in either order/both as they each cover different vehicles.)
Bring your toy cars and be ready to have some alphabet fun in this class! We will begin each class by spending a few minutes socializing and taking turns sharing something from home that each child brought that starts with the letter of the day. Students are welcome to bring along a toy vehicle that starts with that letter of the day or a favorite vehicle to share with others! Children will also practice spelling their name and looking for the letter of the day in their name. Then we will learn about the vehicle of the day. Each vehicle will help us learn the letter of the day and the sound that it makes. Enrolled students will be sent sheets to print and bring along to class to help us with letter formation. Please bring along a whiteboard and marker or a pencil, pen, or marker to write with in class as well. If you are unable to print the sheets, parent support off-camera is appreciated when we are writing letters. Then we will work on making each letter many different fun ways! Bring along some toy cars and playdough each class to help us learn letter formation through a variety of methods. We will practice each letter sound and beginning letter sounds in words. Looking for letters in our names and listening to beginning letter sounds really help children start connecting letter sounds to words, which is a very important step to reading! We will cover all uppercase and lowercase letters and sounds throughout our time together! I believe young children learn through engaging, hands-on, multi-sensory lessons which will be evident in each lesson together! Some classes may include a very short clip at the end of class to increase student knowledge of the vehicle that we learned about in that class.

*Please note that this class is for children learning to identify and write the uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet. We will also talk about the sound that each letter makes and we will learn about beginning letter sounds in words as well.*

*Parent support (off-camera) is appreciated for students needing help with letter formation.*
