Description
Class Experience
Students will learn the sounds of all the Korean characters. Students will be able to read Korean Hanguel. Students will be able to introduce themselves in Korean. Students will be able to identify common vocabulary. Students will be able to type simple sentences in Korean.
Students should expect to spend a minimum of 30 minutes to 1 hour a day immersing themselves in Korean through videos, music, or resources provided in course in order to be most successful with language aqusition. Students are expected to respond in the classroom as prompted and record a couple videos in class to show reading skills and ability to introduce themselves in spoken language.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will be able to do some self-grading by responding to video quizzes and checking answers. Students will also be assessed when responding in the classroom and recieve corrections from the teacher as needed. Students will also prepare at least 2 videos; one showing reading skills and a second to introduce themselves.
No live meetings, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
