To learn Italian while having fun and using their interests in a holiday (in this situation Halloween) to learn about a language
I believe that taking foreign language classes opens the doors to many opportunities. In high school, I took Spanish, and at university, I took up through Intermediate level in Italian. I now give students the opportunity to learn Italian language by making it fun and engaging through my teaching style, print offs, and Quizlets games. I have been teaching basic through intermediate Italian courses for over 3 years involving basic conversation skills, grammar (present indicative, passato prossimo, conjugating verbs with pronouns, adjectives reflecting the correct the-- as there are 7 the's in Italian, and more), as well as vocabulary and fairytale reading classes to make the language to come to life in a fun way.
Nothing. You will be given a print off after class though to review if you'd like.
We will not go over any too scary words but will do some of the following: Pumpkin, pumpkins, Halloween, fall, leaves, costumes, cat, witch, candy, hat, ghost, etc. Students are encouraged to come dressed up for class -- though nothing too scary (if you are not sure, message me to verify). Costume Rules: 1. Masks are welcome, however, masks should be removed for identification during the first four minutes of class to meet safety and privacy policies. 2. Please note that costumes will be vetted by the educator to ensure that they met Outschool standards (secular, age-appropriate, etc.). 3. Nothing too scary is allowed in order for students to not be stressed about what others will wear but enjoy a fun time together.
A print off that was created on Canva will be used.
