US Grade Kindergarten - 4
Beginner Level
In this beginner class, students will learn to speak and write Igbo. During this class, students will learn how to greet, introduce themselves (name, age and where they are from), count, and describe their body parts, and color. Students will be learning from a native Igbo speaker who will ensure that the right accent is used to pronounce the words and to speak. I will make the students comfortable in the class to ensure every learner participates. This class will be taught in English and Igbo (40% Igbo, and 60% English). Below are topics that will be covered in this beginner class: Count from 0 – 10 Greetings and Polite words Count from 11 – 20 Animals Family - introduce family members. Introduce yourself - Basic conversation. Body Parts Colors in Igbo Each week we will have new topics, feel free to join in any week. If the two children decide to stay long-term then the curriculum will be adjusted to fit their needs. Please have pencils, a notebook and a class printout (will send before class), crayons/or coloring pencils, ready for class. This class is great for beginners - no experience or prior knowledge is required. NB: If you do not see any available times, please contact me and we can work something out. Thank you.
