This class is taught through Minecraft education. Play time will allow for students to complete task and adventure around while learning German vocabulary. NPCs will allow for personal interactions, instructions, and supplement learning materials. This is a Group Class setting, using Minecraft Education. Please make sure your child has a valid license for the game. Today we will explore: Ice Explorer - which focuses on animals and exploration in a frozen landscape. Beginning of class we will spend some time going over that days set vocabulary. Meaning the words they for sure will encounter during that days lesson. After that we will join my Minecraft world and explore. Students can work together, stay with the teacher, or venture off alone. As their teacher I will guide them when needed and provide help with translations. Students will be able to interact with me the entire class duration. As well as be able to reach out after class if they need help. Students will complete Homework online, a link will be provided on their Outschool class page. Homework can consist of flashcards to help study, Quizzes, and other interactive games that will help practice the new material. Parents, please note. Students NEED a license to participate in class. A license will not be provided for them for the duration of each class session. You will need to download the game from the website provided once signed up.

Today we will spend up to 15 minutes on "Greetings" and use the next 30 minutes playing the game and learning about various subjects. Students will start working on their Journal and practice teamwork.

Your child will need Minecraft education. A download link will be supplied when you sign up in case you need to install the game still.
They will also need access to google and YouTube. Google classroom is utilized for some of the written work due in class as well as downloads of translations and YouTube provides some of the learning materials.
