What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
This ongoing weekly Bingo game is designed to expose the learner to the many different topics, terms, and people of social studies. Each week will be a different theme and each weeks' winner(s) will earn a specially designed virtual badge that matches that week's theme! The themes will be derived from the "The College, Career, and Civic Life (C3) Framework for Social Studies State Standards" developed by The National Council for the Social Studies and will cover civics, history, geography, and economics. The list of terms will be sent out at least 24 hours in advance so that students can fill in their Bingo boards. When class begins (after hellos) there will be a brief (no longer than ten minute) review of that week's theme or topic .At the end of the first game, there will be a time for students to ask for clarification on any term(s) that they heard that were unclear. If there is time, a second game will be played. Students will be instructed to either have more than one board prepared or to draw a single line through any called out clues so that they will be able to play a second game if needed. After the class is over, students will each receive a copy of the terms and their definitions so they may individually seek to enrich their knowledge beyond the class meeting. PLEASE NOTE: We must have at least three learners enrolled to go forward with the class. Encourage your friends to enroll to ensure that we have enough to play!
