Description
Class Experience
Studying linguistics not only helps expand your world view, it can help provide a better understanding of your own language as well as any secondary languages you may be learning. This class may help you get to that ah-ha moment in your English or foreign language class. Linguistics provides a foundation to allow you to more quickly and efficiently learn new languages. I have a B.A. in Spanish with a concentration in Spanish linguistics. In addition to Spanish, I study German and American Sign Language. I love learning languages and I am constantly amazed at the complexity of human language. I hope by taking this class, you too will develop a love of languages!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
